SELAH THEATRE PROJECT COVID-19 RESPONSE
FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
In these uncertain times, our goal is to continue providing the highest quality performing and creative arts education to all ages in a comfortable and professional environment. We are thankful that our location is situated in a position where we can make some modifications to operate under a somewhat-normal schedule.
To adjust to the new safety parameters surrounding this pandemic, we are making full use of our facility and lowering our class capacity to maintain social distancing. We are also requiring face masks and, in addition as an option, shields for all students, instructors, as well as administration. We have staff cleaning railings, handles, etc. at frequent intervals throughout the day.
As you are already aware, at the initial onset of the pandemic, we pivoted introduced online options, and we are continuing forward with some virtual offerings so you can continue you or your child’s theatrical education safely from the comfort of your home. While online lessons do not replace the quality of in-person lessons, they are a wonderful way to keep learning and growing through this pandemic. We even have found that some of our students have flourished through the change in format.
Regardless, we are here to try and bring whatever sense of normalcy we can to our student’s lives. It is with that feeling that we are making the decision to introduce a modified in person course offering.
We are grateful to all our students, parents, and faculty in their flexibility during these difficult times. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe and that we can see you all soon!

SAFETY GUIDELINES AND POLICIES FOR IN PERSON LEARNING
Each student that has chosen to do in person lessons or group classes will need to sign/have their parent/guardian sign a waiver and health check before each class. If our office has not received a waiver/health check for that day, they will not be able to attend in person lessons until one is signed and submitted.
To enter the theatre, all students must undergo a temperature check at entry. Temperatures 99º and above, after two attempts, will be denied entry to the facility and will not be allowed to return for two weeks.
Masks will be required for students, instructors, and all those who enter the building.
Social distancing is encouraged as much as possible.
To limit the number of people in the facility, parents are not allowed into the building, unless required by the class/instructor or the student is under the age of 5 years. The exception to this is for pick-up and drop off, and at this point we ask that parents not linger in the theatre space to continue to limit the number of people.
Parents will not be allowed to drop students off until class time.
If you violate any of these terms, we reserve the right to dismiss you/the student from the premises and no makeup will be offered for any missed lessons without refund.
IN PERSON CLASS WAIVER
The following waiver only needs to be completed one time per student. This waiver is not required for students who are only enrolled in online/virtual courses. However, the MySelah COVID Check will need to be completed before each class.
