What It Is

Much Ado About Drinking is theatre like you’ve never experienced it before—where Shakespeare collides with improv, modern chaos, and a splash (or two) of booze. Each production is a shortened, fast-paced spoof of one of the Bard’s greatest hits—like Macbeth (MacBeer), Romeo & Juliet (Shotspeare), or A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Midsummer Night’s Drink).

But don’t worry—you don’t need to be a Shakespeare scholar to enjoy it. The shows are bold, hilarious, and accessible, with plenty of modern twists, surprises, and audience interaction.

How It Works

Short & Spirited Plays: We trim each Shakespeare classic to about 40 minutes, keeping the famous lines and juicy drama while adding improv and parody.
Improv Games & Audience Suggestions: Between scenes, our actors take on ridiculous challenges, perform your suggestions, and break the fourth wall in spectacular fashion.
Actors Drink, You Don’t Have To: Some of our cast sip lightly onstage to fuel the fun, but the audience is never required to drink. You can enjoy the show with a pint, a mocktail, or nothing at all—the laughter is on us.
New Each Night: Because of improv, challenges, and audience input, no two shows are ever the same.
